About Our Holiday Rental
Our guest house is a welcoming space for travellers to relax and explore the beautiful areas of South East of Sicily.
The house name of Casa Picaro comes from the valley "Cava Picaro", which you can enjoy the views of from the house and then onto the Mediterranean Sea in the distance.
We love the fact that we are deep in the wild nature and dramatic beauty of the surroundings. It’s so peaceful and quiet away from the hustle bustle of the towns and cities. But these fascinating towns are only a short drive away. You can sit in a bar or restaurant people watching and soaking up the busy atmosphere of the stunning historical centres or enjoy the beaches along the breath-taking Mediterranean coastline.
Local towns include Noto, Avola, Siracusa and Ortigia, Modica, Ragusa, Marzamemi and Palazzolo Acreide amongst others . A little further afield you can travel to Catania, Taormina and of course Mount Etna.

We are situated about 20 minutes drive from some of the most idyllic sandy beaches in Sicily. There are beach front bars and restaurants, rugged coastal walks with fabulous views and sandy coves.

Explore local Archaeology
We are situated minutes walk from the incredible ancient ruins of Noto Antica and other interesting sites.You can walk out of the gate turning right or left and there are ancient trackways to follow.
Within an easy walk from the house, you can head to the ancient city ruins of Noto Antica and the surrounding countryside. You can discover Bronze Age, Greek and Roman tombs, caves, forests, rivers, streams and gorges with amazing panoramic views, abandoned churches and historical farmhouses, ancient tanneries and mill houses. All where thousands of years of rich Sicilian cultural history have left their mark.
Dancing in Sicily
As a Dance teacher in Ballroom & Latin American you could always enjoy the Wonders of Sicily combined with some Dancing lessons.
Come over for a weekend to relax and enjoy an evening dancing with the locals or, add a tailor made package including Meals and Excursions and maybe a dance lesson or 2.
